Ride in Peace - Sonny Dukes
RIP Sonny Dukes. He did a lot of photography for Easy Riders back in the day. Always cool to me, always encouraging to me about my blogging and my hack photography.
Crazy as this sounds, I just got a beautiful young German Shepherd that is such a gentle giant. And without knowing Sonny passed away I named my new doggo Sonny Dukes. Sonny and I go way back to the days of the green Cadillac and just after he took a head on with his motorcycle and a semi, and lived to tell about it. His passing saddens me but the memories and his name sake live on ❤️

Sorry to see that he has passed away.. I was searching for an issue of Easyriders magazine from 1985 the Sturgis edition..I lived in Colorado at the time and when we left Sturgis we met Sonny some where along the way and we all rode back to Denver together and Sonny took our pics and put us in the Sturgis edition.. He was a pretty cool dude..
My name is Ed Brock. I was Sonny's best friend from 1979 in Kings Beach Tahoe until his passing. We were roommates, we worked together at Crystal Bay Club, we rode together, we were in fights together, we worked out together at my gym in Tahoe and ended up in Hawaii on different islands at the same time. I was there with him when he died at Queens Hospital in Oahu, Hawaii. In his passing, I inherited his biker vest and his Woodstock jacket and t-shirt. He truly was a good friend and I miss him.
