Memphis Shade and Cobra Lightbar

(Sorry I don't have good action shots, I did this a long time ago, but I figured I could explain it with pictures of the parts.)

To give a Vulcan 1500 Classic a truely classic dresser look a windshield and a spot light bar are a must. So more than one person has bought a Memphis Shades Fat or Slim and Cobra or Fire and Steel lightbar only to discover that they aren't built to go together. Here's the fix to make it all work. Get your dremel and a straight metal cutting bit and get to work. You need to wear leather gloves and safety glasses for sure. Slot the holes that mount the bar to the bike and the holes that the spots mount into.

Then open up these cut-outs on the windshield mounting brackets.

Now put the lightbar on the bottom triple tree cover, then the windshield brackets in place, then the headlight. Put the bolts through and slide the lightbar as far forward as possible. Put the lights are far foward as possible. Now add the windshield. Everything should work unless you need to take more material off somewhere.
