Vulcan 1500/1600 Sparkplug Tube Tool 27mm Hex
The spark plug tubes on 1500/1600 Vulcan take a 27mm external hex. So I took a 27mm wrench with me to hardware store to check the nut size and bought a bolt and two nuts to fit. It cost me about $10.
It works.

What happens when it rubs a hole in it? Mine just did
ReplyDeleteThen you replace it with a new one, and you may wanna fix that timing chain tentioner/ possibly replace the timing chain if that don’t work. Best of luck

ReplyDeleteGreat idea! My VN15 o-ring must be worn because it leaks some oil and it drips from the spark sleeve little hole onto the cam tensioner. Can you remove the sleeve directly without removing the whole engine? I just want to replace the o-rings but I'm afraid of messing with the camchain. Thanks a lot!
